Beckman Center
of the National Academies
A series of three national meetings, this workshop is a collaborative effort between UCI's Urban Water Research Center, Duke University, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The first meeting, held at Duke in October, featured a review of the TMDL process. The purpose of the January meeting at UCI is to bring attention to particular TMDL issues of concern to the western United States.
The final April meeting at Duke University will provide Chairs Dr. Kenneth Reckhow, Professor at Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment, and Dr. Leonard Shabman of Resources for the Future, and other distinguished members of the Adaptive Implementation Science Panel the opportunity to produce the final monograph to be submitted to the U.S. EPA.
The Center wishes to thank January's program sponsors:
The Center also wishes to thank UC Irvine Applied Sciences and Engineering Librarian Julia Gelfand for the outstanding TMDL Bibliography she prepared for the program.
